Privacy Policy

Short version: we do not have accounts, we do not ask for your details, and we do not set cookies ourselves. If advertising is switched on later, Google may set cookies — and this page will say so.

Who we are

Card Game Index is an independent reference site at https://cardgameindex.com. For anything on this page, email [email protected].

What we collect

There are no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter sign-ups. You can read every page without giving us any personal information.

Like every website, our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to serve pages, block attacks and keep the site fast. That data is retained briefly for security purposes and is not used to build profiles of readers.

If we enable privacy-friendly analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), it reports aggregate page views only, without cookies or cross-site tracking.

Cookies

Card Game Index does not set cookies of its own. The site works without them.

If advertising is added in the future, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. Visitors in the EEA and UK will see a consent prompt before any non-essential cookie is set.

Advertising

If Google AdSense is enabled, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or at aboutads.info.

Links to other sites

Pages link to Wikipedia, Pagat, BoardGameGeek and publisher sites for rules and background. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to processing. In practice we hold almost nothing, but email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the bottom of the page will change with it. Material changes — such as switching on advertising — will be announced on the page itself.
